What is the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada?

The Mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkins disease, and myeloma and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

If I choose to fundraise with Team In Training, where does the money go?

The LLSC provides funding for research, patient services, community outreach, education, and advocacy initiatives.  Team In Training is the largest fundraising campaign for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

How much money do I need to fundraise?

The fundraising target for a Team In Training event is always designed to ensure that at least 75% of funds raised will go toward the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.

Fundraising targets vary based on the overhead costs involved in the event.  These typically include travel, hotel accommodation, meals and parties, gear and clothing, and coaching/training.  If you would like to know a fundraising target for a particular event, please contact us, and we will be happy to let you know!

What is included in my experience with Team In Training?

As a Team In Training participant, you will receive:
Professional coaching and training
Guaranteed race entry to the Team In Training event of your choice
Travel to and from your event destination
Hotel accommodation during event weekend
Pre-event and post-event parties

A technical training shirt and an exclusive race-day jersey

What kind of support do I get from others to help me with training and fundraising?

As a Team In Training participant, we have you covered with all the support you can imagine! 

Our certified and professional coaches take every step to ensure your goals are reached.  They are here to make sure you train smart, and arrive at your event with a perfect recipe for success.

Meanwhile, our Team In Training mentors are fundraising experts.  These individuals have completed Team In Training events upwards of several times in recent years. They are the best candidates to share their strategies and success stories with you.  They are also here to keep you motivated and on-track!
